Contract Creator
questions
Q. How do I import data from one version
to the next?
A. There are 3 steps to the import process. On both the Mac and
PC, these steps are identical:
- Locate your Contract
Creator folder. On a PC, it will be in the Program Files folder;
on a Mac, it is wherever you put it.
- Change the name of Contract Creator.cc3 to "Contract Creator OLD.cc3"
- Move this file
to your NEW Contract Creator folder.
- Run the new version
of CC and select IMPORT from the FILE menu.
Q. Can I give a copy of it to friends?
A. No, but you can direct them to this web site and they can download
their own demo copy, which will work with an annoying demo message
over the printout until they pay the shareware.
A license for Contract Creator will allow you to run the application on ONE machine only.
Q. Will ProSession run on a PowerPC, G3 or
G4 Mac?
A. Yes.
Q. Do I need to make a copy of Contract Creator to be safe?
A. You should always back up your hard drive, and this is no exception.
The easiest method would be to back up the entire folder. However, your data actually resides in the file called "Contract Creator.cc3."
Q. Will there be a version of CC that prints
on 8 1/2 x 11 paper?
A. No; the AFM wants all contracts printed
on both sides, and it isn't possible with this program to get all
the necessary text on both sides.
Q. Will CC ever print other contracts, live gigs, radio, TV?
A. If enough people ask for it and the money for the development
is there...
Q. Will CC support larger contracts
than 12 players?
A. Not at this time.
Q. How do I change the wage scales?
A. Select AFM Scales from the Edit menu.
Q. When I update Contract
Creator, do I need to get a new unlocking code?
A. It depends; if the update is an incremental update, you can use the same unlocking code.
However, if the update requires paying a fee, you will need to get a
new unlocking code to unlock the new version.
Q. On a demo session,
how do I store the Publishing Company's information?
A. The publishing company is also the producer, in contract-speak.
In other words, on a contract, the publishing company's name goes
into the Producer field. So this is where it's stored within CC.
Q. I'm having trouble
printing anything from Contract Creator. What could be the problem?
A. The printer driver
that Contract Creator uses is the same one that is used system-wide
on your PC or Mac. If you can print from a word-processor, you will be able to print from Contract Creator.
